I have been working for the Wikimedia Foundation since July 2011, initially as a contractor supporting movement communications, and becoming a regular employee in May 2012. See also my staff page on the WMF wiki.
As a volunteer, I have been contributing to Wikimedia projects since 2003. IRC (Freenode): HaeB
Some technical notes, mostly for myself:
- Converting wiki pages to plaintext emails
- Converting Google Docs to wikitext
- Converting Etherpads (or other plaintext files) to wiki pages (avoiding the issue that subsequent lines blend into one because MediaWiki treats newlines differently)
- Converting Google Slides to wikitext (partly applicable to PDFs as well)
