- Hello @Nanahuatl, I understand your concerns, and I truly respect the community's standards. However, I just wanted to express why SciShow is important to me and why I believe the article has value. I worked hard on improving the English Wikipedia version before translating it, making sure to update facts, correct errors, and expand relevant information. I acknowledge that my lack of Turkish fluency has caused translation issues, but rather than deleting the article outright, wouldn’t it be better if the community worked together to refine it? I'm not trying to fight or disrupt Wikipedia’s process—I just want to see valuable content preserved and improved. If the article truly does not meet Turkish Wikipedia’s standards, then I will respect the community’s decision. But if there’s a way to fix it instead of removing it, I’d be happy to collaborate however I can. Thank you for your time and consideration. Best regards, OperationSakura6144 (mesaj) 07.54, 24 Mart 2025 (UTC)
My Thoughts on My Wikimedia Experience
[kaynağı değiştir]Now, I need to talk about my frustrations regarding my experience on Wikimedia projects. Lately, I’ve felt misunderstood by many, and I want to clarify my perspective.
I joined Wikimedia with the intention of contributing meaningfully. Despite language barriers, I have done my best to improve articles, collaborate with others, and follow the guidelines. However, I feel that my efforts have often been misinterpreted, leading to concerns that my contributions are "disruptive" or that I am "not here to contribute." This has been really discouraging and suffocating, making me feel insecure and question whether I even belong here at all.
Regarding my indefinite Commons block and other challenges I’ve faced, I acknowledge that I don’t always get everything right—just like anyone else. I struggle with certain aspects of communication, especially in environments with strict rules and expectations, but I genuinely want to improve and make amends. This is something I’ve been actively working on, but it’s difficult when my attempts seem to be dismissed outright.
Additionally, as someone on the autism spectrum, social interactions and community dynamics can be challenging for me. I sometimes struggle with unwritten rules and expectations that feel imposed on me, which can lead to misunderstandings. But that doesn’t mean I have bad intentions. I’m here to contribute and to be part of this space in a way that aligns with Wikimedia’s goals.
I am open to constructive feedback and willing to adapt. I only ask for a bit more patience and understanding in return. If you have any concerns, feel free to ask me—I’d be happy to discuss them. I just hope for a fair chance to prove that I want to be a valuable part of this community. OperationSakura6144 (mesaj) 06.07, 28 Mart 2025 (UTC)
