Garnik Asatrian (Ermenice: Գառնիկ Ասատրյան Gaṙnik Asatryan d. 7 Mart 1963), İran doğumlu Ermeni İranolog, etnolog, dilbilimci ve tarihçidir. 7 Mart 1953'te Tahran'da dünyaya gelip 1968'de Erivan'a göç etmiştir. Sovyetler Birliği döneminde, 1977-1986 yılları arasında Leningrad Sovyet Bilimler Akademisii Doğu (Oryantal) Bilimleri Enstitüsü'nde eski İran kültürü, İran dilleri (Avestaca, Soğdca, Orta Farsça/Pehlevice, Farsça, Kürtçe, Zazaca) ve İran etnolojisi alanında doktora yapmıştır ve ardından öğretim görevlisi olarak çalışmaya başlamıştır. 1984 yılında Leningrad Üniversitesi'nden doktora, 1990 yılında da Moskova Sovyet Bilimler Akademisi'nden mükemmel doktora derecesi almıştır.
Ermenice, Rusça, İngilizce, Almanca, Fransızca, Türkçe ve Kürtçe 11 kitap ve 125'ten fazla bilimsel makaleye imza atmıştır.[1]
