[değiştir | kaynağı değiştir]Buenas, me llamo José Juan y soy del barrio almeriense de El Zapillo, y me siento orgulloso de ser zapillero, almeriense, andaluz, español y europeo. Nací hace 18 años en Torrecárdenas, siendo el primogénito de una familia que, sin ser económicamente acomodados, no tenía problemas para llegar a fin de mes. Mi niñez la pasé en múltiples colegios e institutos. Mi primer colegio fue el Santiago, ahora llamado Maestro Padilla; al cambiar el sistema educativo, fue transformado en instituto, y me tuve que trasladar al San Fernando para cursar 3º. Tras un año en ese centro, me volví a desplazar, esta vez hacia el Mar Mediterraneo, dónde acabé primaria. Para cursar ESO, fui al Virgen del Mar, justo al lado de mi primer colegio. A su vez, me matriculé en inglés en la escuela oficial de idiomas. Acabé ESO y para hacer Bachillerato, volví a cambiar de aires. Mi nuevo centro sería el Bahía de Almería, de donde hasta que no apruebe, no me marcharé. Hoy, ayudo a mi padre en la ferretería familiar, e intento sacar todo adelante con mucho esfuerzo.
Llegué a Wikipedia como el 95% de los que estamos aquí: Googleando y googleando. Tras mucho aprender de Wikipedia, me decidí un día a investigar su funcionamiento, y me gustó la idea de colaborar altruístamente. Veréis, soy una persona que le gusta ayudar al prójimo, sin avergonzarse de ello. Me he dado cuenta de que, tras 18 años, no he hecho nada en la vida; no tengo más que mis estudios y mis viajes como experiencia personal, y quiero tener algo que ver en el buen funcionamiento del mundo. Según las estadísticas, me quedan unos 60 años de vida. Hay, 500.000 lugares que no visitaré, la misma cantidad de platos que no probaré, otras tantas experiencias que no viviré y muchos más conocimientos que no aprenderé. Por todo eso quiero exprimir cada segundo, para poder vivir algo nuevo cada día. Ahora, ya que la humanidad me ofrece todo eso, quisiera compensarlo de alguna manera; y para eso estoy aquí. Ahora soy yo el que aporta, y que mejor manera de agradecer lo que consigue uno de las extraordinarias capacidades que ha dado la evolución al Homo sapiens que compartiendo los conocimientos de otro de la misma especie. He aprendido mucho de Wikipedia, y ahora, quiero que el resto de humanos aprenda de mí todo lo posible. Por eso soy wikipedista, y me siento orgulloso de ello.
Who am I and WTF am I doing here

I was born 18 years ago, being the first son of a common family. Today, I both study and help my dad at his hardware shop.
I arrived at Wikipedia like the 95% of people here, searching at Google. I learned a lot from it so I decided to contribute. Well, I am a person who likes helping the other. I have realised that, after 18 years of life, I've done nothing with my life. My only personal experience are my studies and my travels; so I would like to contribute to the world's good-working. Statistics say that I will live 60 more years from now. There are half a million places I won't visit, the same meals I won't try, so many experiences I won't live, and much more knowledge I won't learn. That's why I want to get everything from a second, so I can get something new everyday. But now, in a way to thank the world for all that, I'm here, giving the world my knowledge, large or small. I've learned a lot from the Wiki, and now I want the Wiki learn from me. That's the reason why I edit Wikipedia, and I'm proud of that.
